Your attachment library holds the PDFs your organization includes in agreements, such as a security policy, SLA, DPA or additional terms. You upload a PDF once, then pick it from the library whenever a template or agreement needs it.
Finding your attachment library
Click Attachments in the left navigation. This opens the Attachment library page, which lists every attachment in your organization with its Title, Description and the date it was uploaded.
Click an attachment's title to open it. The attachment page shows who uploaded it and when, its file name, its title and description, and Templates using this attachment. Click Open in new tab to view the PDF.

Uploading an attachment
On the Attachment library page, click Upload an attachment.
Choose the PDF you want to upload.
Enter a Title. The title appears on every agreement that includes the attachment, so use a name your recipient will recognize.
Optionally, enter a Description. Only members of your organization can see descriptions.
Click Add attachment.
A few requirements apply:
Attachments must be PDFs.
PDFs can't be password protected or encrypted. If you can't remove the password, try printing the file to a new PDF.
Each title must be unique within your organization.
Common Paper adds a watermark to the top right corner of each attachment when it's included in an agreement, so leave at least 3/4" of top margin.
You can also upload a PDF directly from an attachment field while you're editing a template or agreement. A PDF uploaded this way is added to your attachment library too.
Editing an attachment
Admins can change an attachment's Title and Description. Open the attachment, edit either field, and click Save changes.
The title and description are the only things you can edit. You can't replace the PDF itself. To use a different version of a document, upload it as a new attachment, select it in your templates, then archive the old one.
NOTE: Renaming an attachment also changes its title on draft agreements that already include it.
Archiving an attachment
Archiving removes an attachment from your attachment library, so nobody can select it for a new template or agreement. Archiving does not change any existing agreement that already includes the attachment.
To archive an attachment:
Open the attachment from the Attachment library page.
Under Archive this attachment?, click Archive.
Click Archive attachment to confirm.
If a template still uses the attachment, the confirmation dialog lists those templates instead of the Archive attachment button. Open each listed template, remove the attachment from it, then try again.
Archiving is the only way to remove an attachment. You can't permanently delete an attachment, and you can't restore an archived attachment from the app. If you need an archived document again, upload it as a new attachment.
