This article applies only to version 2.x of the Cloud Service Agreement. Learn more about agreement versions here.
Order Date is a variable that appears in the Cloud Service Agreement Cover Page, in the Order Form section. It defines when your customer's access to the Cloud Service starts and when the business terms of the agreement go into effect.
How to fill this out
When you send an agreement, you can choose from three options:
Date of last signature on this Order Form - The Order Date is set automatically to the date the last party signs. This is the default.
Choose date - Select a specific calendar date.
Other - Enter a custom description. Use this when the start date depends on a future event rather than a fixed date - for example, "the date Provider notifies Customer in writing that the Cloud Service is available for Customer's use."
NOTE: If you use the Other option, MagicBill will not be able to automatically create Stripe subscriptions. MagicBill requires a fixed date to set up billing. You will need to manage billing separately.
