You can reset your Common Paper password from inside the app or from the login page. If you signed up using Google, your account doesn't have a separate password - see the section below for how to switch.
Resetting your password
There are two ways to trigger a password reset email.
From inside the app:
Go to Team in the left navigation.
Click your name to open your team member profile.
Under Password, click Reset your password.
Check your inbox for a reset link and follow the instructions to set a new password.
From the login page:
Go to the Common Paper login page and click Forgot your password?
Enter your email address and submit.
Check your inbox for a reset link and follow the instructions to set a new password.
If the reset email doesn't appear within a few minutes, check your spam and promotions folders, and make sure you're entering the same email address you used to sign up. See Tips for receiving Common Paper emails if our emails are being filtered.
If you signed up with Google
If you created your account using Continue with Google, your account doesn't have a separate password. Neither the Reset your password link nor the Forgot your password? flow will send a reset email - there's nothing to reset.
To switch from Google login to email and password login, reach out to us through the support chat. We'll remove the Google authentication from your account. Once that's done:
Sign out of Common Paper.
Go to the sign-up page and enter your email address and a new password.
You'll be signed in to the same account with all your existing agreements and templates intact.
