NOTE: Accounts that signed up for Common Paper before CSA version 2 was released are currently defaulting to v1.1 when creating a new template. You can still create and use CSA v2 templates - see the section below for instructions.
Upgrading to CSA v2
There isn't currently an automatic way to migrate an existing CSA v1 template to the new version. You'll need to create a new CSA v2 template from the templates page and then edit the terms and fill in the values from your version 1 template.
There are a number of cover page changes in v2 that you need to be aware of when making this switch particularly with regards to creating a new template.
The Cloud Service Fees section has been completely revamped, offering more flexibility and options with regards to pricing.
A new Pilot Period section allows you to offer free trials, paid pilots and pilot period specific changes to the standard terms. Note that the Free Trial period in v1 was previously under CSA fees.
A new Payment Process section has been added that more natively builds in support for automatic collection of payment (in addition to standard invoicing).
Publicity Rights are now included in the Standard Terms by default - to remove them there is a new Language Library entry.
If you're using the Common Paper SLA, there are some additional optional options for target response time
Check out the Cloud Service Agreement versions page for the full list and to see a redlined version of the Standard Terms.
Creating a Template with a different agreement version
In some cases, you may want to create a new template using a different version of a standard agreement than the current default.
Navigate to Templates, find the template type you wish to create and click on it.
The current version of the CSA will appear at the bottom right of the new template form that appears, along with a link to See All. NOTE: For other agreement types, this is at the top.
Clicking on this link will take you to a page which lists out all of the versions of the agreement, with the current version at the top of the list. In addition to direct links to each of the posted terms, there's an additional link (Compare all versions) that will show the changelog for each agreement type and how each version has modified the previous version.
From here, you can select which version you would like to create a template for, which will then return you to the new template form with the new version selected.
From there, the process to create a template and agreement is the standard one.
