Special Category Data is a variable that appears in the Data Processing Agreement Cover Page, in the Annex I(B) Description of Transfer and Processing Activities section.

How to fill this out

Special Category Data is extra-sensitive personal information that under EU law may not be processed except in limited circumstances. This can include:

  • personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin

  • political opinions

  • religious or philosophical beliefs

  • trade union membership

  • criminal offenses

  • genetic or certain kinds of biometric data

  • data concerning health, sex life, or sexual orientation

  • other types of sensitive personal information

Does the personal data you will be processing on Customer’s behalf include any Special Category Data? If yes, you'll be asked what restrictions or safeguards you have in place to protect the Special Category Data.
