Agreement Activity Notifications

How Common Paper notifies you when recipients view, sign, or propose changes to your agreements

Written by Mark Frantz

When you send an agreement, Common Paper automatically emails you when your recipient takes action on it. These notifications are sent to you as the agreement sender and are always on.

When you'll receive an email

Common Paper sends you a notification when a recipient:

  • Views the agreement

  • Signs the agreement

  • Proposes changes to the agreement

  • Declines the agreement

  • Reassigns the agreement to a different signer

Each email includes the agreement name, the counterparty involved, and a link to view the agreement in Common Paper.

Need more control?

If you want to route notifications to other people or trigger actions in external tools, you have a couple of options:

  • Slack integration - connect Common Paper to Slack to receive agreement activity notifications in a channel of your choice.

  • Notification webhooks - send agreement events to any external tool, like a CRM or custom workflow.
