Company
Email uploads
Gerri gives you a unique email address you can use to start a review without logging in. Email any redlined agreement to your address and Gerri will automatically start a review using your default playbook. If the document contains tracked changes, Gerri will run a redline review. If there are no tracked changes, it will run a clean review instead.
Both .DOCX and .PDF files are supported.
For more on how Gerri handles each type of review, see Reviewing a Redlined Agreement and Reviewing a Clean Agreement.
Your company
The Company name field sets your organization's name in Gerri. Gerri also uses this when analyzing agreements to identify which party is yours, so keep it accurate.
The Default reviewer is the team member Gerri notifies when a change requires human review. You can override this on individual playbook rules. For more on how reviewer assignment works, see Managing Playbooks.
Team members
You can invite teammates to your Gerri account from the Team members tab. Click Add team member, enter their email address (and optionally their name), and they'll receive an email invitation.
All team members have the same level of access - there are no roles or permission levels.
Invited members appear as Pending until they accept the invitation. Once they join, they have full access to your account.
NOTE: If you remove a team member, any playbook rules where they were set as the reviewer will automatically reset to your default reviewer.
Billing
Your plan
The Billing tab shows how many file reviews you've used this month and when your usage resets.
Each file you upload counts as one review, regardless of the document's length or complexity. You can re-run a review as many times as you like - for example, while refining your playbook rules - at no additional cost. However, uploading the same file again will count as a new review.
Advanced
Gerri's instructions
Each time a review begins, Gerri reviews your playbook rules and applies them to your agreement. By default, Gerri follows your rules exactly and makes neutral decisions on anything not covered by your playbook.
Custom instructions
NOTE: Custom instructions are only available on paid plans.
Custom instructions let you add logic that applies across all of your reviews, on top of your playbook rules.
Here are a few ways to use them:
Evaluation logic - Tell Gerri to accept or flag certain types of changes, even when no specific playbook rule applies. For example: Accept any change that decreases our company's obligations, even if no rule addresses it.
Style and tone - Adjust how Gerri communicates its findings, such as asking Gerri to be more succinct or more detailed in its output.
Custom instructions apply across all reviews and all playbooks.
NOTE: This is a powerful feature. Custom instructions can significantly change how Gerri evaluates agreements, including overriding its default neutral approach. Add instructions carefully and test your results after making changes.
